The BMW M2 excites and delights with the skillset of a classical high-performance sports car – reproduced in highly concentrated form, more intensive than ever and cutting-edge technology. With its compact dimensions, an inline-6-cylinder engine, a manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and an advanced operating concept, the M automobile encapsulates the pure joy of driving. At the heart of the BMW M2 are fleet-footed agility on demand and handling that remains easily controllable even as the driver explores the coupé’s limits.

POWERFUL PROPORTIONS.
With its athletic proportions and muscular design features, the BMW M2 makes no secret of its performance.
PACKED WITH M POWER.
The M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine features dynamic power delivery and the characteristic throaty M engine sound. Highly efficient technologies such as double VANOS, Valvetronic, high precision injection and a TwinScroll turbocharger provide excellent output. Between 2,650 and 5,870 rpm, the engine provides its maximum torque of 550 Nm and reaches its maximum output of 338 kW (460 hp) at a speed of 6,250 rpm. The 3.0-litre power unit differs only in a few details from that of the BMW M3 and M4 series.
CURVED DISPLAY.
The one-piece, fully digital BMW Curved Display of the BMW M2 provides information on your BMW over a large area and clearly arranged. It combines a 12.3 inch instrument display with a 14.9 inch touch-enabled control display. The familiar M Shift Lights appear at the top of the information display and a number of special widgets are also available containing information on the current vehicle setup, as well as tyre pressure and temperature. The curved, almost free-floating design of the display looks both sophisticated and modern.
M CARBON BUCKET SEATS.
Pure racing flair: The optional M Carbon bucket seats with illuminated M2 logo and M colour accents combine the lightness and racing character of a bucket seat with the range of functions of an M sport seat. Their fit provide optimum lateral support and high long-distance comfort. The use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in the structural elements of the seat cushion and backrest together with the cut-outs in the side bolsters and below the head restraints saves 10.8 kilograms over the M Sport seats. Furthermore, the seats are compatible with multipoint harnesses and therefore fully suitable for racing.
6-SPEED MANUAL GEARBOX.
As an option the BMW M2’s inline-6-cylinder engine can link up with a 6-speed manual gearbox, creating a performance experience in the classical mould, rooted in the intense interaction between the driver and car. The gear ratios and gear spread are perfectly matched to the performance characteristics of the engine. A precisely defined shift action enables rapid, easily executed gear changes. Plus, the Gear Shift Assistant uses engagement speed control (rev-matching) to ensure slip-free operation when downshifting under braking into corners. It can be deactivated in the M Setup menu.
